The one area where we struggle
for funding is replacing medical equipment.

Our clinics are located remotely and are in a harsh, dusty and humid environment - the kind of environment that medical equipment doesn’t like!

Each year we struggle to find funding to replace outdated and defective equipment and to ensure that all of our clinics are equipped exactly the same.

This year’s focus is the purchase of Zoll X-series monitor/defibrillators for all of our 10 ambulances to increase our resuscitation rate and to ensure the right equipment is there in an emergency. Each unit costs $38,000 and is the standard in all St John ambulances.
